Portraiture
By its very nature, the portrait (whether in studio or location) is often one of the types of assignments that Eric enjoys the most because of the rich interpersonal experiences that come with it. Capturing one’s essence – their character, their vulnerability and idiosyncrasies – being quick on the shutter to capture unscripted moments of love, pride, pain or whatever energy they give…if a subject is honest, the experience can be genuine.
No other genre of photography can tell a story as portraiture can. No other genre employs such a careful balance of composition, styling, complimentary lighting, poignant direction and frankly…a little luck.
