Truckee Tavern

Truckee, CA | Fall, 2014
Restaurant & Food

Those of you who know Tahoe know that Truckee located just over the mountain to the west is the best place in Tahoe to be. And those who know Truckee know that Ryan Dierks and Chris St. Martin have done a stellar job creating THE perfect place for an Après Ski or a just a fresh local and rustic meal at their new Truckee Tavern project located right on main street. Both Ryan and Chris personally hand finished much of the modern industrial style of the tavern including the beautiful reclaimed bars that are the center point of the restaurant. Their belief is that a great dining experience must not only be made with fresh quality ingredients and be expertly prepared but it must invoke emotion and memory.

Local ingredients, farm raised, hormone free meats and locally grown produce are the standard and the menu items always showcase the incredible diversity of food available in California as well as reflect the seasons and changing tastes of the culture. The Taverns spirit program draw from Truckee’s rich history of bootlegging during prohibition and focus on artisanal small batch gin and whiskey, the two main distillation products from Truckee during that era.

The planning, styling, ambience, and thought put into the food continually impressed us throughout the process of the shoot and we are happy to have the chance to shoot, wine, dine, and become friends with the owners of the Truckee Tavern.

@truckeetavern…”Here’s one of our favorite shots of the #truckeetavern and it was taken by one the the best photographers @ericrussellphotography. If you’re in the market for a photographer, Eric is a consummate professional with one of the most amazing eyes for the shot.”
