For decades, Utah has been know as a hot bed for the fast growing tech industries. And when it comes to Biotechnologies, AMEDICA Corp seems to have one of the most exciting and promising technologies that undoubtedly has the potential of changing the entire medical implant devices marketplace. AMEDICA is the only company with the scientific know-how to produce medical grade Silicon Nitride – a patented platform technology for spinal and arthroplasty applications. Silicon Nitride offers doctors and patients an alternative to PEEK and titanum that is osteopromotive, anti-infective and may result in faster fusion. AMEDICA is the only company in the world that has FDA clearance to manufacture and distribute Silicon Nitride implants.

In June of 2009, we were given the opportunity to work with Marketing Director Steve Zeiger and his great team to effectively write and produce AMEDICA’s first Silicon Nitride product video. This comprehensive video would introduce AMEDICA’s proprietary Silicon Nitride technology and effectively position it as a revolutionary alternative to antiquated materials and technologies. Over the course of a couple months we logged many long hours in concept meetings, strategy sessions, and days of scripting and art direction leading up to an intense 3 days of shooting and edit session. And finally after condensing over 8 hours of raw RED 4K footage and interviews into a comprehensive edit, we were proud to debut the video as the center point of AMEDICA’s booth at the 25th Annual North American Spine Society (NASS) Conference in San Francisco, CA.

It’s our pleasure to report that the video was considered a great success and because of the production efficiencies the project, the video and the library of footage we were able to generate throughout the process continues to live on today in subsequent edits and vignettes.
